Every year orientation program at AIMS is followed by the collage competition. Collage is the combination of pieces of diverse materials and media, such as newspaper, magazines, package labels, fabric, paint and photographs, into one composition. There is huge enrollment of participants from various colleges in and around Baramati. With an objective of exploring creativity in the students, improving teamwork and enhancing presentation skills, collage competition is organized every year in the month of August. Such competition allows students to explore and experiment with creating truly new, exciting and often unexpected results. For the competition collages on topics related to current social issues are presented.
AIMS has always provided a platform for students to showcase their research skills by virtue of Convex- an Inter-collegiate competition. We started with the competition in 2015 under the Quality Improvement Program of SPPU and thereon every year it is held in the first week of October. The purpose of the competition is to recognize and draw attention to the outstanding student research that is being conducted in management. Students from various management colleges in and around Baramati show their participation. The young minds put in their best efforts to present their SIP research work. The students are judged for their research ability and are acknowledged by presenting awards.
AIMS has always catapulted on issues pertaining to society and national interest on a whole by organizing inexorable National Conferences. The success factor of which has always been true presence of Research Scholars, Academicians, Industrialists and even Students who make it a point to be an inevitable part of the thought provoking sessions. The title and convener of each conference is decided in faculty meeting and proposed to governing council for approval. The title, dates, themes, resource persons & working committee for conference is finalized in faculty meeting. Convener is the key responsible person to look after all developments of National Conference. Meeting is conducted by convener fortnightly or on need basis to trace the progress of various committees and to tackle the timely issues in organizing the Conference. So far 7 National Conferences are conducted with phenomenal success. The feedback collected from resource persons, participants and students is utilized in the process of improvising the planning process for next National Conference. The proceeding of conference is released in the inaugural function of Conference itself. The uniqueness of AIMS Conference is the planning of next conference by virtue of printing the invitation letter with name of the Convener and themes of next year conference in the proceeding of current year.
In 2011; inception year of AIMS, the idea of conducting a Management Fest in the form of Intaglio Series-a two day intercollegiate competition was conceived. It is a student driven grandeur event and one of its kind in Baramati. This two day event gives a student participant an exclusive platform to unleash and unearth his/her hidden talent which will also hone their intrinsic skills. Participants can experience the extravaganza through their exuberant participation and presence in the fun-filled array of sub-events.
The Fest registers an increased footfall every year. Students flood in and register themselves for various activities such as Best Manager, Talent Shoot, Face Painting, Comedy Katta, Turn Coat, Management Debate & Ad-mad Show drawn under Intaglio. By organizing Fest at such a level, AIMS marked its presence in the field of Management Education in rural band.
Job Fair at AIMS was initiated in the year 2013, ensuing our collaboration with District Skill Development Employment & Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre, Pune and a shared vision to empower skilled youth from rural areas with equal opportunities. Every year Job Fair is organized at AIMS in the month of May. Year by year, there is substantial increase in terms of number of participating companies, candidates, and placements. Companies from Pune, Baramati, and Jejuri MIDCs participate and interview more than 600 candidates for more than 2000 Managerial, Skilled, Semi- Skilled and other jobs. Candidates selected after primary rounds are called for subsequent selection procedures. MBA graduates from different Management institutes in the surrounding areas also participate and eventually get selected.
